The EFL Story Collection
The EFL Story Collection is a series of books that have been written with EFL learners in mind. Each book is a standalone story written at a CEFR A2/B1 level, with grammatical and lexical footnotes on every page, as well as questions at the end of every chapter to assess reading comprehension and to encourage critical thinking.
Problems and Solutions
From our experience in the education sector, there is a clear pattern when it comes to EFL students and literature: when a student reaches a CEFR A2/B1 level, they realise that they want to try to read a book in English. However, this is where four main problems arise, and where Bancroft Education is proud to say that the EFL Story Collection provides the solutions.

This is where the EFL Story Collection provides the solutions for EFL students and their literary needs. Each book in the Collection is its own standalone story, meaning that readers can start and finish a story in a single book. Furthermore, the books in the Collection are not modified versions of existing stories; they are their own stories that have been written with EFL students in mind right from the very start.
Each book has been written at a CEFR A2/B1 level, with a simple cover design that is suitable for both children and adults, and every page contains useful grammatical and lexical footnotes to support readers. Additionally, at the end of every chapter, readers can choose to answer the reading comprehension questions which both encourage reflection through writing and critical thinking skills.
